Mr. Wavie Clark Jr., age 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 1, 2017. Mr. Clark was born on May 31, 1926 in Grayson Co., KY to the late Alma Patterson Clark and Wavie Clark Sr. He was a member of Overdale United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired from Ford Motor Company Kentucky Truck Plant after 35 years.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his brothers, Herman and Willis Clark.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 63 years, Wilma Lee Spurrier Clark; his sons, Martin Clark (Bonita) and Terry Clark (Fawn); his grandchildren, Matthew Clark (Kim) and Ashlee Clark; great- grandchildren, Levi and Brantley Clark; several nieces, nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 12 :00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
