Daughter of Evert Hendricksen and Fytie Brouwer.

She is incorrectly referred to as "Sarah Van Horne" in this account. The Van Hornes were her step-brothers. Sara; parents: Evert Hendricksen, Fijtje Brouwer.


Sarah Evertse Van Gelder was baptized on 9 March 1690 at Old First Dutch Reformed Church, Breuckelen (Brooklyn), Kings Co., Long Island, New York, sponsors Abram Brouwer and Sara Brouwer.


She married Alexander Clark, son of William Clark and Elizabeth.

Alexander Clark was born circa 1693.

He was buried at Toponemus Graveyard, Monmouth Co., New Jersey.

Names as executors his wife, her brother Cornelius Van Horn of Freehold and William Lawrence, Jr. of Middletown. Witnessed by John Reed, Thomas Kinnan, Dorothy Nesbit and William Lawrence, Jr.
