In early life, Cecilia worked at Brown's Shoe Factory and then went on to work at the Cardinal Inn as a waitress for many years. She also helped take care of elderly people in her own home for some time. Her biggest accomplishment in life was raising her 5 boys and she was a very busy homemaker. Cecilia enjoyed feeding her family and was an awesome cook. She was a dedicated Cardinal fan and her family was her world.
Cecilia is survived by five sons, Gary Capps of Pawnee, IL, Ken (Brenda) Capps of Beardstown, Lonnie (MaryAnn) Capps of Jacksonville, David (Beth) Couch of Lake of the Ozarks, and Roger (Colleen) Couch of Springfield, IL; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Hobbs of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; a brother, Donald Ducey; a sister, Dorothy Scott; and a daughter-in-law, Carol Capps.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield. Interment will be at the West Cemetery in Pittsfield. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 PM until 2 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Blessing Hospice. Niebur Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
