Mrs. Suther was born in Cabarrus County, April 6, 1928, a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Ann Cameron Kiser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Allen Suther, a brother, Wayne Kiser and a sister, Sue Kiser McLain. Mary Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Surviving are a daughter, Susie Kearns and husband Carey of High Point; a son, Terry Suther and wife Ann of Kannapolis; a brother, Carol Kiser and wife Joan of Newport News, VA; three granddaughters, Brandi Kearns, of High Point, Lisa Johnson of Fayetteville and Kim Suther of Seattle, WA; a nephew, Billy McLain of Landis.
A Celebration of Mary Ellens Life will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel by the Rev. Lynn Cash and Rev. Adam Love. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. until the service. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the physicians and staff of High Point Regional and Hospice Home @ High Point. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont.
