Wendell passed away in Murray, Utah of Heart Failure at the age of 70 years old.

He was the son of Leroy Austin Cook and Mary Louisa Bennett. He married Evelyn June Larsen on March 3, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died on January 30, 1977. He later married Eve Lynn Jolley on February 22, 1980 in the Hawaiian LDS Temple.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and had many callings. He graduated from Jordan High School. Attended and played football at the University Of Utah and BYU.
In boxing he won the Utah State Heavyweight Championship. He served in the armed services during World War II. He was employed with the Newspaper Agency Corporation.
He was the Beloved Father to six children. He was the eighth of eleven children.

Funeral Services were held on Thursday, September 30, 1993 at 12 Noon in the Murray Ward, 5555 South 700 East. A Viewing was held on Wednesday night at the Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East from 6-7:30 P.M. and at the Church, one hour prior to services.
Graveside Services followed at Redwood Memorial Estates where he was buried in the Cook Family Plot.
