Ronnie was a 1964 graduate of Ava High School then later served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
On January 17, 1981 Ronnie and Charlene Dooms were united in marriage in Mtn. Grove, MO.
Ronnie was a Christian and a member of Clara Baptist Church in Texas County, MO.
Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman who liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed playing and listening to bluegrass music and spending time with his many friends.
Ronnie made a career in the construction field as a truck driver.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and his Great Grandson, Riggin Akers.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene of the home, four children, Shane (Denise) and Lance (Lynn) Coats both of St. Louis, MO, Cameron (Darren) Cook, Lynchburg, MO, and Christy (Bruce Burch) Coats, Rogersville, MO, five grandchildren, Ashly (Sandy) Akers, Stetson & Whitley Welch, Jacob Cantrell, and Ava Coats, three great grandchildren, Gracie, Lanie, and Gus Akers, three siblings, Betty Medlock and David Medlock both of Gentryville, MO, and Golda Cain, Norwood, MO, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ronnie will be Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Pleasant Home Cemetery, Drury, MO with military honors by the Troy Herd American Legion Post 112.Visitation will be Monday the 27th prior to service at 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home.
