Doris Sangmeister passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017.
Born and raised in Frankfort, she moved to Mokena when she married George in 1951. Doris was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mokena. She was a member of Prestwick Country Club and enjoyed spending winter months in Florida. Together with George, they enjoyed travel, golf, friends and community service.
Doris is survived by her children and grandchildren. Kurt (Gina) Sangmeister of Venice Beach, Florida, Kim (Chris) Puckett of Morris; grandchildren, Jordan Sangmeister, Cole Puckett, Keegan Puckett and Kenzie Puckett.
Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, George E. Sangmeister; her parents, Eugene and Anna Hinspeter; her brother, Don (Mary Lou) Hinspeter; two nephews, Paul Hinspeter and Ronald Hinspeter.
Arrangements entrusted to the Vandenberg Funeral Home.
Interment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
