Ardis was the daughter of John W. and Nellie Haverly. She was a lifetime resident of the area. Mrs Dodds graduated from Ames High School in 1923. She was a member of the First Congregational Church.
Mrs Dodds married Galen Dodds Aug 22, 1924. She is survived by her husband, a son, John D. Dodds of RR1, Ames, a daughter, Joyce Doolittle of RR 3, Boone; one sister, Mrs Norma Bennett of St Paul, Minn, and four grandchildren.
Mrs Dodds was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mary Lou in 1935 and a brother, Lyle A Haverly in 1941.
