Florence Pease Davis

Florence H. Trisler was born in Mitchell county, Kansas, near Beloit on Feb. 8, 1880, the second daughter of Dorman and Mary Worden Trisler, and passed away at Osceola, Iowa on Sept. 23, 1959, at the age of 79 years.

She spent most of her life in Decatur and Clarke county, Iowa. She united in the Christian church at Weldon, Iowa at the age of 13 years.

She was married to Ransom J. Pease, Dec. 22, 1898, and to this union were born two daughters, Juanita in 1900 and Fern in 1903, who departed this life, Juanita at the age of 27 years and Fern at the age of 15 1/2 years. Ransom Pease passed away Nov. 9, 1943.

She was married to Francis M. Davis on Jan. 17, 1947.

She was a faithful and loyal wife and mother and always had love and faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She leaves to mourn her departure, two great granddaughters; four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Altha Barthalon of Indianola, Mrs. Minnie Updike of Osceola, W. E. Trisler of Des Moines, Mrs. Christine Weaver of Bartlesville, Okla., and Mrs. Nessa Williams of Osceola, and their companions, and her son-in-law, Joe Scott, and his wife; three step-sons and a host of nieces and nephews.

Others preceding her in death were her mother and father, a sister, Lou Keller of Humeston, and husband, Francis Davis.

Funeral services were held from the Webster Funeral home Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marion Pease of Des Moines assisted by Rev. Warren Hile of Osceola. Burial in the Maple Hill cemetery at Osceola.
