William "Bill" Blackwelder Sr. age 48, passed away on February 17, 2017 at his home in Bradenton, FL. He was born in Sarasota, FL to Leonard and Hilda Blackwelder on October 8, 1968. Bill attended Bible college at Cornerstone Bible College and Seminary at New United Testament Bible College. Bill was an Evangelist Singer/ Songwriter, volunteer Chaplain at Manatee Memorial and at a prison in Hardee County. He had a calling to be an Evangelist to the lost and sick. His favorite bible verse was Matthew 18:19-20. He loved playing his guitar for his family, friends and his church.
Bill is predeceased by his father, Leonard Blackwelder and brother Leslie Blackwelder. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Roxie Blackwelder; Four children: Heather (John) Rhodes, Stephanie (Paul) Santana, Billy (Lacey) Blackwelder Jr, and Kayla (Alejandro) Blackwelder; Seven grandchildren: Mia, Lia, AJ, Bayleigh, Peyton, Camden, and Logan; Mother: Hilda Blackwelder; grandmother: Evelyn Drymon; brothers: Stanley Blackwelder and Donnie (Tammy) McCourt; Mother- in law: Mary J Harrell; two sisters- in law: Lelia (Bobby) Wiley and Rosemary (Glenn) Bauman and many other loving family, friends and church members. Visitation will be at Impact Community Church on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 12-1pm with a celebration of his life to follow at 1pm.
