Laura A. Borushak, 82, of Stroud Twp., and a resident of Getz Personal Care Home in Kunkletown, died Thursday upon arrival at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono in East Stroudsburg. She was the widow of William Borushak, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born on Nov. 15, 1935, in Clarks Summit, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Adelina (Grippo) Donvito. She worked for Giant Markets in Chinchilla and Stroud Twp. and later owned and operated Country Candle Shoppe in Kresgeville.

Surviving are two children, Lori Borushak, of Stroud Twp. and Scott Borushak, of Waymart; two grandchildren, Jamie Heller and Samantha Borushak; two great-grandchildren, Graydon Hoffner and Hailey Silfee; a sister, Edith Novak, of Meshoppen; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Fannie, and her six brothers, Joe, John, Frank, Richard, Art and Bill. Laura was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Heller.

The viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Eric Moser officiating. Entombment will follow in Mountainview Mausoleum at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
