Carol was the youngest of 12 children. She attended Teton Elementary and South Fremont High in St. Anthony, where she met Robert Pincock. They were married on December 12, 1950 in St. Anthony, and they were sealed in Idaho Falls Temple on May 28, 1999 with their children Sherry, Debbie, Laurie and Todd. Bob and Carol had moved several times during their marriage following Bob’s jobs. They lived in several towns in Idaho, Utah, and Nevada before finally settling in Shelley. On August 9, 1968, Bob passed away at age 38, leaving Carol a widow with 4 children. She found employment at several potato processing plants working hard to take care of her family. On March 6, 1971 she married W.D. (Dick) Farnes in Salmon. Dick and Carol spent many happy years together enjoying fishing and camping with family and friends until Dick passed away December 19th, 1994.

Once again alone, she began doing volunteer work at Shelley Senior Center as the “Meals on Wheels Lady”. Carol married Robert J. Johnson of Idaho Falls on April 14, 2001. Carol sold her home in Shelley and moved into Bob’s home in Idaho Falls. They spent eight happy years together before Bob died on November 3, 2009. She moved to Linden Park Condos in 2010 and had lived at Lincoln Court since 2016. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, played piano at meetings, sang in ward choir and served in various callings in Relief Society and Primary. Survivors included: children Sherry (Pat) Kearney, Debbie Foster, Laurie (Vincent) Wray and Todd Pincock; stepchildren Gary (Mary) Farnes, Judy (Lon) Nebel, Don (Vicki) Johnson, Peggy (Gary) Cobb, and Deon (Rose) Johnson; and brothers Anthony Gardner and Dean (Vena) Gardner. Preceding were brothers Lee, Ross, Jay, Kenneth, Max and Val, sisters Lucille, Deon, Leona, son-in-law Walt Foster and stepson Monte Farnes. Her family expressed appreciation to staff of Lincoln Court and Advanced Home Health Services for their loving care of Carol. Funeral services held November 29th at Shelley Stake Center.
