Jack M. Schwartz was born on January 12, 1957 the fourth son of Betty L. (Yeager) Pokorny and Phillip A. Schwartz. Mr. Schwartz died November 21, 2017 at St. Luke’s Heart Institute in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jack was a 1975 graduate of Hays High School, Hays, Kansas and later graduated from Fort Hays State University. The majority of his adult life was spent in the securities and investment business.

Jack had a passion for working with and coaching young athletes especially in track and field. He attained the rank of Black Belt in both Tae Kwon Do and Hapkito. He enjoyed traveling abroad and riding motorcycles throughout the central United States with his brothers and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty L. Pokorny, father, Phillip A. Schwartz, and nephew, Channing Dion Schwartz.

Survivors included his love of 25 years, Mary Heath of Salina, Kansas; a son, Dominic Brandon Schwartz, two daughters, Jennifer Diane Reyes and Jessica Danielle Hix; Mary’s daughter, Nancy Keim and grandchildren, Kaden Keim, Alexandra Keim, Gwendolyn Hix and Finnigan Sprague; three brothers, Channing D. Schwartz and wife, Constance, Dennis R. Schwartz and wife, Kathy, and Frank J. Schwartz and wife, Nancy; one aunt, Lorraine Bramwell; step-father, Robert Pokorny, of Hays, Kansas; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
