Dennis William Kraft, 64, a longtime resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at his home. Born on December 19, 1952 in Fort Sam Houston, TX, he was the son of the late Roman Joseph Kraft and Edna Elizabeth Hubertus Kraft. Dennis is survived by his sisters, Hope K. Mayer and husband Jim, Carol Kraft, and Joyce Friesenhahn and husband Andrew; niece, Michelle Staley and husband Josh ; nephews, Kurt Mayer (godson) and wife Victoria, and Darren and Casey Friesenhahn; and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Dennis was a member of the Lions Club, Low Vision Club, Leaderdog and Wurstfest. Dennis had many hobbies including gardening, woodworking and fishing. He greatly enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and is remembered for his kind and gentle soul. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will take place at Oakwood Baptist Church on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 9:00-9:30 a.m. with the service to begin at 9:30 a.m. A procession will be leaving the church at 11:15 a.m. for interment at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery #1 in Selma. Donations may be made in Dennis' name to the Lions Club.
