COLORADO CITY - Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Hackfeld, 62, passed away peacefully at the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene with her loving family by her side.She was born on December 23, 1954 in Loraine to Raymond and Betty Draper Hackfeld. Cindy was a very witty woman with a great sense of humor. Friends came easy to her, as she enjoyed making new friends and never met a stranger. She was also a very smart woman, who took pride in keeping a sharp mind by doing brain games, reading books, working puzzles, and playing all sorts of card and board games. In her younger years, Cindy worked at Safeway and Root Memorial Hos­pital.

She is survived by her sisters, Sherry Chaney and hus­band, Larry of Colorado City and Jennifer Zuniga and husband, Arthur of Loraine; her niece, Hannah Chaney; and several cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Cindy will be held at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 9, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Larry Chaney of Christian Fellowship of Colorado City officiating.
