Harriet Barber Humphrey born 8/7/1875 the daughter of Mary Marvin and Milton A. Barber died Wednesday March 8 in the Warsaw Hospital. She was a graduate of Warsaw High School and Mt. Holyoke College in 1898. She was an instructor of astronomy in the college for a time and taught in Omaha, Nebraska, in Straight University, New Orleans, LA , in Nashville, Tenn. and Perry and Silver Springs high schools. In 2/1911 she was called here by the sudden death of her sister, the 1st Mrs. Humphrey who left 2 small children. A year later she took her sister's place as wife and mother. The daughter Mary, Mrs. Allan Wadsworth resides in Philadelphia, PA., and the son Robert B. unmarried is at home. She was a member of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society, W.C.T.U., the Afternoon Study Club; past matron of Ella Chapter O.E.S.; and district deputy grand matron of Genesee-Wyoming district; and the Methodist Church.
