Betsy Siiva Tufaga was born in the little village of Kahuku on the North Shore of Oahu in Honolulu County, HI to Aiulu Se'e Fuatino (Samataua) Tufaga and Vaisega Florence Anae. She was one of seven children, all have preceded her in death except one brother. She married on 16 Feb 1951 to Jonah "Joseph' Haam Young, they have five children , four living and one son, Brian Se'e Young who passed in January 2018, also four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
