Neola was a long-time member of the Dalton Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Neola is preceded in death by her first husband, Mossie Alexander Adams. Neola and Mossie were married on January 17, 1937. They were married for twenty-eight years, raising six children together. In addition, Neola is preceded in death by her second husband, Thomas Doyle Higgins. Thomas passed away in 1979. Other family members that preceded Neola in death are as follows: parents, Benjamin and Lily Cardwell; brother, Milburn Cardwell; sister, Letha Cardwell Copus; granddaughter, Rachel Adams Ellington; daughter-in-law, Gracie Fern Adams; granddaughter-in-law, LaJena Green Adams.
Survivors include, sons, Homer (Virginia) Adams, of Dalton, Elmer Adams, of Thayer, Missouri, and Clifford (Helen) Adams, of Ravenden Springs; daughters, Erma (Barry) Burr, of Apex, North Carolina, Bernadine (Leon) Guntharp, of Pocahontas, and Dorothy (Mackie) McReynolds, of Dalton; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Will White Cemetery, near Dalton.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are James Adams, David Adams, Michael Burr, Ronnie McReynolds, Daniel McReynolds, and Tanner McReynolds.
