Susan I. Bleed, 89, passed away peacefully in Fargo, ND on Friday, November 17, 2017.

Susan Irene (Judd) Bleed was born, at her grandparents' farmstead in Buxton, ND on June 9, 1928.  Her parents were Percy T. and Rea B. (Davis) Judd of Cando, ND. She attended school at Egeland West, graduating from Cando High School in 1946.  She attended Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Rugby, ND, graduating in 1949.

Susan married Donald E. Bleed on September 3, 1950 in the Cando Methodist Church and resided in Rugby, ND.  They welcomed three girls into their family Donna, Kathleen, and Bonnie.

The family moved to Ray, ND in 1953, New Town, ND in 1955 and to Keene, ND in 1956, where they lived and raised their family for 23 years.  She became the town nurse, was active in church and was a 4-H Leader.  Susan worked as an RN in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Watford City, ND for fifteen years.

In 1979 they moved to Casselton, ND.  Susan and Don spent their summers working road construction for Northern Improvement and winters visiting relatives in many parts of the country.  After retiring, they enjoyed their home and were active in the church and the Casselton Senior Citizen Club.  In the winter of 2012 they moved into Riverview Place, Fargo, ND where they enjoyed the many activities and making new friends.  Susan loved spending time with her family and watching them grow.

Survivors:  Daughters Donna (Ron) Walz, Kathie (Blake) Strehlow; five grandchildre, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband Donald; parents Percy and Rea Judd; daughter Bonnie; brother Earl Judd.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:30am at Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service.  The burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo following the service.
