EDMUND J BAUER, 84, of Roanoke formerly of Fort Wayne died Saturday in Lutheran Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr Bauer was an electrical test operator at General Electric Co until retiring in 1965 after 49 years. Born in Van Wert County Ohio he lived in Fort Wayne most of his life. He was a member of St Michael Lutheran Church and a member of the Senior Dance Club, the GE Quarter Century Club, and the Pleasant Time Club.
Surviving are his wife Lois; a son Edmund J of Syracuse; two daughters June Bruns of Port Charlotte FL, and Lois J Stanchfield of Houston; three stepdaughters Carolyn Ziegler of Huntington, Janet Amburgy of Bluffton, and Marianne Cloud of Lakeland FL; 12 grandchildren; and six step grandchildren; and a sister Wilma Martin of Clearwater FL.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday with services at 1 pm Wednesday in DO McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home 6301 Fairfield Ave. Burial is in Covington Memorial Gardens.
