The announcement of the wedding of Miss Mittie Lee Royal to Mr. Alton Abbott of Amarillo came as a complete surprise to the many friends of the couple. They were married April 2, 1934 in Amarillo and made the announcement this week.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Royal, pioneer family of Wellington. She attended the schools of Wellington until she graduated in 1926 and since that time has attended C.I.A. and West Texas State Teachers College. She plans to attend school in Canyon for six weeks after which she will receive her degree.
There were no children to this union.
