Patsy Ruth Kossmann, 91, of Mexico, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at her home in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home with burial to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 12 Noon till service time at the funeral home.

Patsy was born on Aug. 19, 1926 in Mexico with a twin brother to Pearl and Eugenia (Jesse) Janes. She was a graduate of St. Brendan High School and on July 18, 1947 she married Norman J. Kossmann. They were the parents of two children.

Patsy was a member of Centennial Baptist Church for over 60 years. For many years she served on several committees and was a long time member of the choir and Sunday School Secretary. She worked at A.P. Green Refractories for 41 years and with her husband, retired on June 1, 1988 with a combined service of 86 years.

She is survived by her children Paul D. Kossmann and his wife Sharon of Elizabeth, Colorado and Janis Marie Rowe and her husband Todd of Mexico, MO. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Carrie Hadden and husband Charles of Jefferson, GA, Trish Gleason and husband Jake of Murphysboro, TN, Kelly Doebelin and husband Jason of Mexico and Laura Shipp and husband Rebel of O'Fallon, MO; step-grandchildren, Sara Doty and husband Jason of Boonville, MO and Jake Meadows of Springfield, MO; great-grandchildren, Taylor & Gray Gleason, Gracie & Paisley Shipp, Kaiden & Kory Doebelin, Logan Kossmann and Madison Hadden; one brother-in-law, Max Orr of Springfield, IL and one sister-in-law, Mae Janes of Lane KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman, sisters Peggy Orr and Rita Hill, brothers Donald Janes and Paul Clifton Janes and two grandsons, Kevin Kossmann and Jason Kossmann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centennial Baptist Church.
