Grace is the daughter of Julius "Jules" Emanuel Camplain and Amanda Elizabeth Wood. She met Jess Williams when the family lived in Zephyr, TX in Mills County, he lived nearby in Mullen. She missed him terribly when her family moved to her mother's hometown in San Saba County. Jess located her and they were married in San Saba on 30 June 1912. Their first child was stillborn there in Richland Springs, but Grace has left cassette recordings about her and a song she "made up" about her she sings on said cassettes. There second child, buried with them, is Jess Dial Williams. Jess died 21 years before Grace, who never re-married, and she had many dreams about him over the years.
