Daughter: Florence Johnson Bills
Crescent City - Dr. H. E. Johnson (1834-1914) passed away at his home in Fairbury, Ill. on Monday. This was all that was contained in a telegraph message received Monday afternoon from his daughter, Miss Florence E. Johnson, who was with him at the time of death. Dr. Johnson had been a winter resident of Crescent City for a number of years and owned a pleasant home in the north end, where with his daughter, Miss Florence, he had spent his winters, except during the past winter, when Dr. Johnson was too feeble to make the trip. Citizens of the place generally will be grieved to learn of the passing of this kindly gentleman. (Palatka News Obituary dtd Friday, 3 Apr 1914.)
