Azaline Horner was born about 1848 in Overton County, Tennessee to William Barton Horner and Harriet Jane Cobble.

Azaline married Joseph E Spoon on June 18, 1867 in Granger County, Tennessee. The Grainger Co, Tennessee marriage document to Joseph E Spoon lists her as Azaline Hanner, other documents such as Census reports list her as Azaline, Adaline or Azeline. Azaline and Joseph had five known children.

Her resting place is unknown. A descendent of the Horner/Spoon line states that the entire Spoon family traveled from Tennessee to Cisco, Eastland, Texas by wagon between 1891 and 1893. The wagon was too small for the children so they had to walk the whole distance. Azaline is not in the 1900 US Census for the Spoon family in Cisco, Texas and lists Joseph as a widow, which indicates that she likely died in route to Texas.
