Dottie was born Jan. 11, 1925, to Edward Valentine Burget and Irene DeLad Moss. She went with the heavenly angels Nov. 13, 2017.

She is survived by her son, Skip (Mary Ann) Boone of Denver; daughter, Beverly (Fred) Ruebeck; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kellie and Paul Schaub and children, Avery, Evan, Addison, Ella, and Ian; Carrie and Kirk Caldroney and children, Lillia and Colden; Jeff Boone and children, Ryken and Westin; Matt and Allison Boone and children, Walden and Morgan; and stepgrandsons, Chris and Lisa Ruebeck and children, Hannah, Joshua, and Noah; David and Claire Ruebeck; and nieces, Lisa Wright and Linda Albers.

She graduated from Shortridge High School and attended Butler University, where she was a Phi Beta Pi. She worked for her husband, Malcolm, and helped manage his dental practices in Terre Haute and Indianapolis. In Terre Haute she helped organize the Dental Trailer, which provided dental education to local students.

Dottie loved her family and friends. She was a woman of strength, beliefs and principles who lived a wonderful life of 92 years. She passed comfortably with her daughter and angels at her side. She and Malcolm had 65 wonderful years together. They loved their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dottie enjoyed volunteer and church activities, selling pecans for Tri-Kappa, gardening, cooking, acts of hospitality, and her pets. An avid reader of the newspaper, Dottie always kept up with current events. People were her passion, always interested in what others shared. She was welcoming, loving and happy.

Dottie attended St. Stephen's Church in Terre Haute and St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or The Humane Society of Indianapolis. Dottie and her family were thankful for the tender loving care from the caregivers at Evergreen at the Crossing.

Calling will be at 10:30 a.m. followed by a celebration of life and Eucharist at 12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 6050 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Interment to follow at St. Paul's Columbarium. Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel assisting with arrangements.
