Margaret Anne "Peg" McCullough, Ph.D., 85, of Zelienople passed away Friday in the comfort of her home.
Born April 17, 1932, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Rollin G. Engle Sr. and Myra Gwendolyn Dumbaugh Engle.
Peg received her doctorate from Kent State University in 1992. She became a teacher at the Mayfield, Chesterland and Kirtland, Ohio, area schools, an administrative assistant at the Painesville, Ohio, area schools, a principal at the Beachwood, Ohio, schools, an assistant superintendent at the Scotia, N.Y., schools and superintendent of the Kirtland, Ohio, and Edinburg N.Y., schools, retiring July 1, 2005, from her career in education.
Above all, Peg was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Allen D. McCullough, whom she married March 30, 1951; her children, Jeffrey A. McCullough of Elizabethtown, N.Y., Jody A. (John) Rosenberger of Slingerlands, N.Y., Jill L. McCullough of Georgia, Jennifer L. McCullough of Spotsylvania, Va., and Jocelyn A. Brindo of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her brother, Rollin G. Engle Jr.; and her sister, Emmogin Myra Stoops.
