Mary Ann Riley Jensen, 95, died on February 23, 2015. She was born in Clawson, Utah on September 6, 1919 to Robert and Hannah Reynolds Riley. She was one of nine children.

Mary was a superb student at South Emery High School. As the salutatorian of her class, she delivered one of the graduation speeches.

Mary was unable to attend college, so she found a job in Hiawatha, where she met Oliver Jensen. They married on May 2, 1938 and had five children. He preceded her in death in 1984. When her husband was disabled at a young age, she worked as a waitress at the Carbon Country Club, Jeanselmes Caf;eacute; in Price, and at J.C. Penneys in Price.

She is survived by three of her children: Richard (Carol) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Helen Runolfson (Allen) of American Fork, and James (Janet) of Bel Air, Maryland. She is also survived by her brother Robert Riley of Clawson, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two of her children: June Pessetto of Helper and John Jensen of Wellington.

She was a remarkable mother and a beloved grandmother.

Funeral service, Saturday, February 28, 2015, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Spring Glen Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
