Juan Sauseda Aguilar, a long time Wood County resident, born January 27, 1916, in Fredericksburg, TX, died Friday evening, March 16, 2007, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, at the age of 91. Juan was a veteran of the United States Army. Juan was employed for 28 years with C & O Railroad (CSX) retiring in 1978. He enjoyed baseball, fishing, and gardening. Throughout Juan's life, he lived in Texas and Stony Ridge, Ohio. Juan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Minerva Ontiveros Aguilar; sons, John Ybarra (Maryann) Aguilar of Stow, Ohio, Armando Ybarra (Judith) Aguilar of Hertford, NC, Augustin Aguilar of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Bernice Aguilar of Bowling Green, Ohio and daughter-in-law, Janet Aguilar of Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren, Christopher (Karyn) Aguilar of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Sarah Aguilar of Stow, Ohio, Alexander and Amelia Aguilar of Toledo, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Emma, D.J. Aguilar and Alexandra Edwards; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerardo S. and Paula C. (Sauseda) Aguilar; sisters, Maria de la Luz Sauseda, Margarita Mancillas, Francisca Rodriguez, and Leonor Casares; wife of his three sons, Carmen Ybarra Aguilar; daughter, Dora Paula. Sylvestre Aguilar, son of Juan and Minerva. Friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121) on Monday evening, March 19, 2007, from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 20, 2007, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the 10:00 a.m. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Walbridge, with Paul Myers officiating. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests everyone think kindly of Juan and perform a random act of kindness.
