Mary E. Yeager was born in 1858 to John Yeager and Gracie Barnes. She was united in marriage to Lafayette Rowland on December 2, 1875 in Boone County, Missouri. She died on October 4, 1879 and was laid to rest in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Boone County, Missouri. She was survived by her husband, Lafayette; two daughters: Julia M. and Mary "Mollie" L.; and her parents, John and Gracie Yeager.
