Suggested Edit: Note: after Irene's mother's (Mary Ann McAllister) death in 1902, William N Smith married someone named Mary E Isgrigg (18 Aug 1876 – 19 Dec 1946, #127248952, parents were David Isgrigg and Margaret Sullivan); they had been married 5 years at the time of the 1910 census; she states that she has not given birth to any children. This marriage ended in divorce. She married Frank Weiss 24 Dec 1921.
Irene's death certificate gives her mother’s name as Mary E. Isgrigg. This was her father’s second wife. Her married her after her mother died in 1902. This woman essentially raised her. But, in the 1910 census, this Mary E. Smith states that she has no children. She also states she has been married to William N. Smith for five years.
Irene was married to William R. Shea at the time of her death. He was informant on death certificate. Probably only knew Irene's stepmother. I don't know any birth/death data for him. Judy
