Katie Lucille Odom Parker, age 95, of Broadway, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Parkview Retirement Center.
She was born in Columbus County, NC on February 10, 1925 to the late Francis Marion "Frank" Odom and Idella Piner Odom Carroll. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Clifton Harvey “CH” Parker and siblings George Robert Odom, Henry Odom, Maggie Gangloff, Johnny Odom, Tom Odom, and Mary Murray. Mrs. Parker, above everything else, loved God and her family. She served faithfully in all areas of ministry and raised her 7 children to be Godfearing and they all serve in the ministry community. Mrs. Parker was known for her homemade biscuits. She was a prayer warrior and thanked her Savior for never having to bury any of her children. Due to her faith, she was looking forward to arriving in heaven to see her parents, husband, and all the others that went before her.
A graveside service, which is open to the public, will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Broadway Town Cemetery with Rev. John Sauls officiating. There will be no formal visitation and there will be no set-up at anyone’s home due to the current COVID health situation. The family will have a larger Celebration of Life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations, in Mrs. Parker’s memory, to Ivan Parker Ministries, PO Box 346, Mt. Juliet, TN 37121.
