Ruth Eva Wallace, 86, passed away on Sept. 23, 2017, in Merdian, Idaho.

She was born on Sept. 24, 1930, in Ainsworth, Neb., to Frank and Ruth Johnson. After her mother passed away when she was 8 years old, she was raised in an orphange, then graduated from college, became teacher in Nebraska, and later moved Klamath Falls, Ore. She next got her nursing degree at Oregon Institute of Technology and was a nurse until 1987.

Ruth married Harold Wallace on June 18, 1961. They had four children. In about 1997, she moved with her daughter, Carol, to Payette, Idaho, where she stayed until her death. She enjoyed crocheting, helping out with her grandkids, doing word searches and sudoku, watching game shows on televsion and was big Boise State University football fan.

Survivors include her sister, Eliza Rzeszotarski; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Loretta Wallace; daughter, Bonnie Wallace; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Allen Underwood; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous neices and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; son, Dean Wallace; grandson Lucas Wallace; and several brothers and sisters.
