Married Richard Norton on 27 December 1966 in Douglas County, Oregon.

Nancy and her parents were shot and killed by her husband Richard Norton.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nancy had left her husband and was living with her parents, Floyd and Margaret, and had filed for divorce. Her husband wanted to reconcile but she wouldn't get back together. On the night of June 10, Richard came to the Jackson home, came into the house and shot her father twice in the head with a shotgun - he was still seated in his chair with his feet on a stool when he died. Richard then shot his mother-in-law in the chest - she died fallen across her husband's feet. Richard then shot his wife in the upper abdomen and left. Nancy was able to make a phone call for help but died on the way to the hospital. She was just 22 years old.
Norton was tried and found guilty of 1st degree murder for killing Floyd Jackson - he was sentenced to life in prison. He wasn't tried for the other two murders. By 1980, Richard had been released and married a 25-year-old security guard. He served just 10 years for the cold-blooded murder of three people. He died in 1990, at the age of 49.
