Phillip Lysle Abbott, 63, of Montgomery, IL passed away Saturday, May 22, 1999 at his home. He was born March 15, 1936 in Sandwich, IL, the son of Lysle and Lillian (Anderson) Abbott. He was a graduate of Leland High School. He married Judith Tellefson on June 14, 1957 in Leland, IL. He was a member of Carpenters Local 916, and had worked for Mid Valley Concrete since 1984. He also served as a Kendall County Election Judge.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at the Turner Funeral Home in Plano, IL, with Rev. Leon Aalbert officiating. Burial will be in Little Indian Creek Cemetery in Leland. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25 at Turner Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Judith of Montgomery; a son, Gil (Jan) Abbott and their children, Matthew and Elizabeth of Richard, TX; a son, Blair (Diana) Abbott and their children, Daniel, Katherine, and Lindsey of Allen, TX; a daughter, Laurie (Steve) Bagg and their children, Jeremy and Melanie of Lily Lake, IL; his mother, Lillian Abbott of Leland; two brothers, Guy Abbott and Dave Abbott of Leland; two sisters, Tia O'Neill of Sandwich and Sue Olle of Ottawa, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and firends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lysle Abbott in 1987.
