COURTRIGHT OF PERKINS DIES
Wilbur Amos Courtright, 74 year old Perkins farmer, died Friday in the Stillwater Municipal hospital and will be buried Sunday in the Perkins cemetery.
Rev. O Edgar Wright, Pastor of the Stillwater Christian Church, will conduct the services to be held in the Perkins Christian Church at 2:30 pm Strode Funeral home has charge of arrangements.
Courtright was born in KS on 12 May 1869, the son of Richard and Hannah Courtright. He was married to Lilly Frances Sneed at Silverdale, KS on 13 Nov 1892.
He came to Payne Co with Captain Couch's Boomers in 1889, and has lived near Stillwater all that time with the exception of eight years spent in Noble Co.
His wife preceded him in death in 1916. Sons and daughters who survive are Richard Courtright, Gardner, CO, Earl Courtright, Stillwater, PFC John Courtright, Fort Sam, Houston, TX, Flournoy Courtright, Perkins; Mrs Ruby Mace and Mrs Marie Hickman OKC, and Mrs Viola Hickman, Perkins.
Other survivors include three brothers, two sisters, 21 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters are Charlie Courtright, Stillwater, Joe Courtright, Ripley, Moses Courtright, IA, Mrs Hannah Ladd, Drumright, and Mrs Hellen DuRain, Pawnee..
