Harlan O. Hobbs, 89, of Barksdale, Texas died January 23, 2008 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde, Texas. He was born October 10, 1918 in Real County near Leakey, Texas to Elmo and Minnie (Harlan) Hobbs.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Beatice Whittle Hobbs; one sister, Ruby Shelley and one brother Otto Hobbs.
He is survived by two sisters, Vena Northcutt and Reba Hicks both of Camp Wood, Texas; second wife, Hazel Tucker Hobbs of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Sherri Hobbs Cernik and husband of Taylor, Texas; two sons, Harlan L. Hobbs and wife Charlene of Uvalde and Tommy Hobbs and wife Rhonda of Junction, Texas; three grandchildren, Susan Hobbs Murr, Tammy Michelle Hobbs and Dustin Davis and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Barksdale Cemetery in Barksdale, Texas.
Services under the direction of Nelson Funeral Homes of Camp Wood, Texas.
