Harold Deene Asher, son of Amos and Sarah Elizabeth Morrison Asher, was born, October 3, 1925 in Camdenton, Missouri. He departed this life, Friday, March 9, 2007 in his home in Camdenton at the age of eighty-one years, five months and six days.
On August 25, 1948 in Camden County, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Parrack. To this union two sons and two daughters were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
Survivors are his wife of fifty-eight years, Geraldine Asher of the home; four children, Janet Todd of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Mike Asher of Camdenton, Missouri, Johnny Asher and his wife, Vicky, of Burlington, North Carolina, and Susan Asher and her husband, Dave, of Nixa, Missouri; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
Harold was a life-long resident of Camden County. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Duffy and was honorably discharged. He worked for Show-Me Power as a Hydro Electric Operator and retired after thirty-six years of service.
He was saved in 1961 and was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. In his younger years, he hunted quail, deer and squirrel. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will miss him greatly.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorials to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery may be made through the funeral home.
