Rita Joy Horne Beakley, 85, of San Angelo and formerly of Brownwood, was born Dec. 26, 1931 to Homer Clint and Thelma Lee (Underwood) Horne in Lohn.
She married Harry Lee Beakley on May 25, 1949. He preceded her in death Oct. 28, 2003.
She lived in Brownwood for many years until moving to Trinity in 2011, then San Angelo in March, 2017.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Karen Beakley of Doss; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Alan Stanley of San Angelo; grandchildren, Jamie and Aaron Ivy, Jordan and Kristen Beakley and Casi Halfmann.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Don Horne.
