Adam is the son of David Bensinger and Matilda Grover. He is a brother to Violet, Mary, Edna, Helen and Mabel Bensinger.
Adam married Clarice Margaret Rose Sloan in 1937 and they lived in Los Angeles, CA and then in Stillwater County, MT. They are the parents of one child, Clarice Bensinger, born a few months after Adam was committed.
Adam was admitted here on 16 Jun 1942 and his wife was granted a divorce in 1943 on the grounds of "cruelty". She also filed for his railroad benefits at that time. Clarice would later marry William T Hoy. Their daughter married Patrick O Hockenberry. They settled, finally, in New York state.
It appears that Adam was in care here from 16 Jun 1942 until his death 26 years later. He died of Cor Pulmonale due to right ventricular failure with pulmonary edema.
