Arthur Joseph O’Brien, age 91, of Kountze, Texas died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care in Silsbee, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville, Texas.
Burial in Bean Cemetery in Kirbyville.
Visitation will begin 1pm Saturday prior to services.
Mr O'Brien was born September 26, 1926 in Browndell, Texas to Rosa and John O’Brien.
He had previously lived in Kirbyville and in Kountze since 1994. He was a 50 year member of Nathan Corley Masonic Lodge # 294 AF & AM of Kirbyville. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Darie O’Brien on October 3, 2017 and daughter, Vickie Williams.
Survivors include his grandson, Brian Williams of Lubbock, Texas, great grandchildren, Nicole Williams, Jacob Williams and Taylor Williams, brother, Jerry O’Brien and Pat of Kirbyville and sister, Frances Wessel of Kirbyville, sisters-in-law, Virginia “Ginger” Walton of Kountze and Shirley Cordray and Pete of Center, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
