HICKORY. Celia Yvonne Clanton Travis, 81, of Hickory, passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at Trinity Village Hickory.
Born Sept. 9, 1936, in Gaston, she was the daughter of the late Blair Jenkins Clanton and Ada Lee Armstrong. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jenkins Clanton; and sisters, Lillian Webb, Betty Propst, Lunette Henson and Julia Clanton.
Mrs. Travis is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carlos Travis; and son, Carlos Travis II.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, at Catawba Memorial Park, with Pastor Troy Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
