Mr. Raymond Earl Gooch, 75, of Dreyfus, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Madison County on December 12, 1941, to the late Frank Sr., and Nannie Alcorn Gooch. He was a retired employee of the Okonite Cable Company and loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Gooch also enjoyed trading Horses, Knives, and Guns. He was a member of the Holiness Faith.
Survivors include: his wife, Ima Jean Cates Gooch; one son, Calvin Gooch (Paula), one daughter, Donna Lakes; three grandchildren, Austin Ray Lakes, Nicholas Paul Gooch, and Callie Nicole Gooch; one great-grandchildren, Adrian Lakes; one brother, Marion Gooch (Janice); three sisters, Geneva Linville, Barbara Shelton and Sue Chrisman (Bobby); as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by: four brothers, Rev. Frank Gooch, Jr., Harold Gooch, Henry Gooch, and James O. Gooch; and one sister, Alene Lakes.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 Monday, November 6, 2017, at the Bethesda House of Mercy, 2357 Dreyfus Road, Waco, KY, with Rev. Charlie Wilson, Rev. Dwight Northern, Rev. Charles Whitamore, and Rev. Leonard Wilder officiating. Burial will follow in the Gooch Family Cemetery at Dreyfus.
Visitation will be after 3:00 PM Sunday, at the church.
Pallbearers will be: Mark Gray, Bobby Rose, Greg Farthing, Elbert Gooch, Nick Gooch, Austin Lakes and Josh Baker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Glen Hill, Leon Smith, Donald Ward, Larry Goodrich, Lester Gooch and Ronnie Aldridge.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, is in charge of arrangements.
