Mr. Van Harris Brantley, age 56, of Harrison, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Augusta.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 3rd from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
Mr. Brantley was born in Emanuel County the son of the late Gordon Harris Brantley Jr., and the late Billie Mae Cawthon Brantley. He worked as a welder and fabricator for the Washington County Machine Shop and formerly worked in refrigeration for Mabrey-Haynes. He loved to craft things out of wood or metal. Van is veteran of the US Army.
Survivors are; his children, Michelle Brantley, April Harrington and Justin Brantley, brothers, Rex K. Brantley and his wife Julie of Harrison and Michael Fulghum and his wife Linda of Byron and his sister, Sherry B. Clark of Macon.
May and Smith Funeral Directors is in charge of these arrangements.
