Eloise Caire Abadie, age 98, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017.

Preceded in death by her husband Seymour Bernard Abadie, two of her children Marsha Bell and John David Abadie , siblings Sidney J.B. Caire, Jr., Sybil Pedeaux, Vivian Berthelot, Etienne Caire, Madeline Sophie Grenier and Geraldine Farrell.

She is survived by her children Bruce Abadie (Mina), Evelyn Olwell (Wayne), Franny Rigsby (Douglas), Michael Abadie (Gwen), Joanny Benoit (Stanley). Her siblings Adele Caire, RSCJ, Walton Caire, Ann Caire, RSCJ, Margaret Caire, RSCJ and Dr. Warren Caire. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She graduated from Dominican College with a Master Degree. She was a teacher in Garyville, Luling, and at the Academy of the Sacred Heart where she was the Principal of the lower school . After retirement she taught French at the Good Shepherd Center.

The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1PM. Visitation will begin at 11AM. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
