Johnny Mac was born October 24, 1946 in Big Spring, Texas and married Coralyn Elaine Johnson on August 10, 1968 in Coahoma, Texas. They separated in 1985 and Johnny Mac met his longtime partner, Gladys Feaster.
Survivors include his sons Vance Self, of Belton; Michael Self and wife, Melinda of Terrell; one grandson, Benjamin Self of Belton; two step-grandchildren, Christian and Nacole Reagan; his longtime partner, Gladys Feaster of Shepherd; two step-sons, Kerry and Gary, and one step-daughter, Becky; a granddaughter, Shaante; three grandsons; and two great grandsons; three sisters: Bell Fowler of Coahoma, Dorothy Rucker of Houston, and Carolyn and husband Gene Holley of Greenville; one brother, Weldon and wife Sandy of Slaton; and three sister-in laws, Alice of Brownwood; Barbara of Midland; and Sue of Coahoma; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ola Self; and three brothers, Clyde Everett, Myron Lee, and Robert Henry Self.
