Elizabeth Ida Macke, 92, of Jackson died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Nov. 25, 1915, at Wittenberg, Mo., daughter of Gottfried August and Elizabeth Leine Braeuner. She and J.H. Norman Macke were married April 26, 1980. He died Oct. 29, 1990.

Macke received a certificate from Cape Girardeau Vocational School. She had been a housekeeper for former mayor Howard Tooke and the Rush Limbaugh Sr. family of Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery at Gordonville.
