Mrs. Emma Bell Kennedy, 94, of Pearlsburg, Va., formerly of Sophia, services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Fred X. Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Sophia. Burial will follow in the Hot Coal Cemetery.
She died Tuesday (April 09, 1968) at 10 a.m. in a Pearlsburg hospital after a short illness.
She was born in Ironton, Ohio, Sept. 6, 1873, the wife of the late John Kennedy (died 1949 in Logan Co, WV - car accident).
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James Lillian Lawrence of Sophia and Mrs. Arnold Lakie Munsey of Parisburg; one son, Alan Kennedy of Crab Orchard and 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Eccles Methodist Church.
