Thelma L. Amerson, 92, passed away on October 26, 2017. Thelma was born in Chesapeake, VA and has lived in the Tidewater Area for most of her life. She was retired from the State of Virginia Highway Division after 42 years of service. Thelma was a long time member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed by her husband, extended family and good friends.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lawrence C. Amerson, a niece, Jody Fisher and her husband, Jerry, and a nephew, Bob Unser and his wife, Theresa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 2, 2017 at 9:00 am in Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Star of the Sea Catholic Church. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Rd Chapel is handling arrangements.
