Final rites for Mrs. Nannie Sheppard were held at Lenore where she died at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Sheppard was survived by her husband, Jay Sheppard, her mother, Mrs. Mary Deskins of Mingo County; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Blair and Mrs. Martha Blair, Mrs. Minnie Roberts, and Mrs. Esther Hatfield; four brothers, Lee Deskins, Jim Deskins, Kermit Deskins, and Roland Deskins; four sons and three daughters.
